    2007 Channel 9 Young Achiever Awards

    Nominations now open!

    Nominations are now open for the 2007 Channel 9 Young Achiever Awards!

    The Channel 9 Young Achiever Awards applaud high achievement and the pursuit of excellence and are all about young people who “give it a go”. The Awards aim to “highlight” the efforts and successes of those young people who are making a meaningful contribution in their community or field of endeavour.

    Nominations are open to young achievers in the 14 to 26 age group in nine categories including the:

    • RAA Driving Force Leadership Award
    • The Coffee Club Arts Award
    • Allianz Community Service Award
    • Nippy’s Environment Award
    • Woods Bagot Career Achievement Award
    • Faculty of Sciences at the University of Adelaide Science & Technology Award
    • AGL Regional Initiative Award
    • Hyde Park Press Sports Award
    • Office for Youth Outstanding Young Indigenous Achiever Award

    All nominees will receive a certificate of achievement in recognition of their achievements. Category winners will be announced at a Gala Awards Presentation evening on the 31st March 2007 at the Hilton Adelaide and will each receive a $1,000 prize from HomeStart Finance to further their field of endeavour and a magnificent trophy. The ultimate winner, the Premier’s Young Achiever of the Year, will receive an additional $1,000 from HomeStart Finance, a trophy and a holiday for two in Australia, flying with Virgin Blue and accommodation provided by Hilton Adelaide (to any Virgin Blue Port).

    Nomination forms and criteria are available from sponsors, through the website www.awardsaustralia.com/YAA_sa.html, by phoning the Awards office on 8132 0753 or by emailing sa@awardsaustralia.com. Entries will be accepted up to the 20th December 2006 and judging will be held on February 20th 2007.

    Why not nominate someone you know and give them the recognition they deserve for their achievements. Nominations should include all relevant details of the achievements and support material (e.g. clippings, photos, copies of certificates, awards etc).
