Centacare's Suicide Intervention Program ASCEND provides services to young people who are exhibiting depressive, suicidal or self-harming behaviours. A key component of the program is the provision of training opportunities to assist those working with young people to
appropriately recognise, interpret and respond to dangerous behaviours.

YOUTH SUICIDE
RISK ASSESSMENT WORKSHOP
This popular one-day workshop will focus on recognising early warning signs, responding to suicidal behaviours, effective assessment and ongoing management of young people with suicidal thoughts or behaviours .

It will be particularly useful for teachers and other workers involved in supporting young people who are exhibiting depressive or suicidal behaviours.
