Call out to all young artists / photographers / cartoonists / illustrators, etc.

‘Out of the Blue,’ is the first book to be published by Schools Out! founder, Michael Colling.

This anthology of autobiographical stories, includes contributions from young people across Australia, including a number of well-known Australian personalities. This publication explores some of the personal stories of hardship that many Australians face, breaking down stereotypes, promoting help seeking behaviours, and just letting young people know, that they are not alone.

Although currently in the publishing process, ‘Out of the Blue,’ is not due for release until September 2007. All updates will be posted on the Schools Out! website.
WE WANT YOU!!!

We are currently looking for illustrations, photographs, cartoons, and other artwork from young Australians, to be included in ‘Out of the Blue.’ Each of the stories included in the book are about overcoming hardship, and we would like the artwork to reflect this overall theme. It’s all about bringing to light many of the issues faced by young people, and inspiring others to get through these difficult times.

Contributions for art could be either reflective, insightful, inspiring, or even an injection of humour.
