Are you involved with football groups from new and emerging communities?

Are you from a migrant or refugee background and interested in becoming a football referee or coach?

If you answered yes to one or both of these questions then please complete the expression of interest form below. If there are enough people interested in attending these courses they will be offered FREE of charge in early 2007.

FOOTBALL COURSE DESCRIPTIONS


COACHING COURSE – JUNIOR LICENSE
This course is 15hrs in length and usually conducted over a weekend.

THEORETICAL COMPONENT
How To Organise a Junior Training Session, What Children Enjoy, The Beginner Coach, Modified Rules, Role Of The Coach, Coaching Young Players, Development Of Young Players, Basic Laws Of The Game, Sports Safety, Coaches Equipment, Principles Of Rooball, The Junior Training Session

PRACTICAL COMPONENT
Basic Practice Methods and Ball Techniques - Passing, Control, Striking, Dribbling, Heading. Basic Goalkeeping. Basic Attacking and Defending. Development Games For Juniors. Coaching Practice Evaluations. Group Discussions.

This course normally costs $135.


REFEREE COURSE
Level 5 Program - Basic Knowledge of the Laws
The world of football refereeing can be exciting and enjoyable. It starts with the Football Federation Australia Referee Level 5 Training Program.

This program is 8 hours in length and is conducted over four weeks (one night per week) including an exam on the final night. A pass on the examination plus satisfactory completion of the workbook, entitles participants to Level 5 Referee Certificate. This course normally costs $50.
